How are fiber optic made?
The actual process varies significantly from one manufacturer to other. In essence, a huge cylinder of core is made off high purity material, an element termed as preform. It is later heated or treated and drawn in a filament that is then coated along with the external layer with a diverse refractive index.
Other systems contain co-extrusion, direct co-polymerization, continuous casting, injection, soft extrusion and wet drawing with mercury formers.
These later ways, and others under research, try to get a better alignment of polymer chains in order to enhance transmission and decrease attenuation. Actually, the fiber stretching and tensioning after drawing to encourage molecular alignment is one of the industry secrets.

I really just need an interview with someone (it''s a total of nine questions). I have had trouble getting responses and I''m getting desperate about making my deadline. I will als
Can an ordinary diode be used as a zener diode? Justify your answer. Ans Ordinary diode can't be used as a Zener diode, since ordinary diodes aren't operated in the rever
Voltage division: In a series circuit Ohm's law applies for each component. However, since the current is common to all components we have: V1 = IR1, V2 = IR2,
In thermodynamics, the Joule-Thomson effect describes a process in which a fluid is forced through a valve or porous plug while kept insulated so that no heat is exchanged with the
