It would be interesting to track down how the quality movement and the project management approach began and how today they stand as a single combined entity which enhances product and services. The history of Quality Management and Project Management evolved in parallel. Their evolution was affected by various factors such as dynamic environmental changes, global competition, and increased task complexity. The evolution of concept of quality management out of inspection and project management was an offshoot when complex processes and tasks had to be handled.
