Q. Heavy traffic areas in pumps?

These are areas around pumps, filters, control valves, PSV's and other equipment requiring frequent maintenance or servicing.

Piping attached to such equipment shall be considered high traffic area up to 1.5 m from the point of attachment to the equipment.

Piping adjacent but not attached to such equipment shall be considered a high traffic area if it parallels the normal maintenance/service access route for one meter or more.
