Give a Definition of Perimeter and Area?

Perimeter is the distance around a flat (2-dimensional) shape. Area is the amount of space taken up by a flat (2-dimensional) shape. is the amount of space taken up by a flat (2-dimensional) shape.

Square Units

When measuring large areas, we can break the area down into units called "square units." A square unit is defined as a square whose sides all have a length of 1. We can replace the word "units" in the phrase "square units" with specific measurements, like feet, inches, or centimeters.
