The concept of network is not new. In simple it means an interconnected set of some objects. For decades we are familiar with the radio, television railways. Highways banks and other types of network . in recent years the network that is making significant impact in our day life is the computer network. By computer network we mean an interconnected set of autonomous computer. The term autonomous implies that the computers can function independent from others.
The definition of networking is actually quite simple. A network is simply a collection of computer or other hardware devices that the are connected together either physically or logically, using special hardware and software, to allow them to exchange information and cooperate. Networking is the term describes the process involves in designing.
