There are several functional areas of business that a recent female student must identify. The goal is to understand if her long-term goal of becoming the principal of anspecial needs elementary school is the right career path. Before making any decisions she will need to revisit her goals, and determine what she needs to achieve them. Reviewing the results from the MBA Overview Module recently taken will provide her with at least two functional areas of business that will help herstrategize toachieve some of her long-term career goals Understanding the correlation betweenthe MBA overview module and the activity plan helps in identifying and understanding what her role will be, and the strategy needed to be successful.

According to Stephen P. Robbins and Mary Coulter the writerschapter 1 "Management" involves coordinating and overseeing the work activities of others so that activities are completed effectively"( 2012 eleven edition). A role in management allows individuals to organize activities and encourage people to gather information needed to accomplish goals. Planning involves defining the organization's goals, establishing strategies for achieving those goals, and developing plans to integrate and coordinate work activities.Planning are the first step to working on her long-term goals.

The student wants to use her own resources to be more effective in planning, organizing, staffing, and leading her school. Becoming more effective will also enable her to meet the needs of the school she is managing, and the school system of the county she resides in. Her role is ensure the policies and procedures of the Florida Department of Education are properly used to meet the needs of the students, school, and community. Identifying and implementing a plan will her the student better understand how she can improve her community and consider issues that are often ignored in the school planning process. Paying attention to issues that can result in the school and community saving money, decreasing the environmental impact, and improving the overall financial health of the school is what every principal strives for. For this reason strategic planning will need to be I included in her plan.

Strategic management and planning is imperative to reaching an organization's goals. Both private and public businesses do well to implement a strategic management plan, since the strategic management plan are plans that apply to the entire organization and establish the organization's overall goals. Strategic managementand planning is important for her because it is the tools that guide me toward her future.It is the starting point to her destiny. As a student working on her master's in business administration, and employed as a substitute teacher is part of her strategic plan to achieving her goal as an effective principal and person.Substitute teaching provides her with the skills she needs to be an effective educator, and it provides information about helping to increase the teaching profession. Working towards her master's in business administration will provide her with the skills she needs to be an effective leader. An effective principals have a passion for learning and wanting to have the best school they use strategy methods to improve their school they extend time to improve student achievements, extend learning time by prioritized time use according to focus learning goals, work with student individually based on the student's academic needs, include time for a well-rounded educators, use time to continuously improve instruction for teacher planning and coaching, and also include college readiness preparation.

In conclusion strategic management and planning is the tools to becoming an effective leader. It is the starting point for today's conditions and environment. It is the ending point to his or her long-term goals. It is the process that he or she will go through that answers the question of how is the best way to be an effective leader to becoming an effective decision maker, better selection of tactical option and leads to a higher probability of achieving her goal.
