Foot examination
For all diabetics, foot examination is important and necessary in all visits to identify risk factors of ulcers or injury of foot. This will help in preventing complications and amputation of foot.
Foot ulceration and amputation are common and major causes of morbidity and disability in people with diabetes. Skin integrity should be carefully looked for, especially between the toes. Early recognition and management of risk factors can prevent or delay adverse outcomes.
