Find the area of PARALLELOGRAM ?
A parallelogram is a four-sided shape, of which the opposite sides are parallel. (Because they are parallel, opposite sides also have the same length.)
To find the area of a parallelogram, multiply the base by the height.
As with triangles, remember that the height is not the same as the side of a parallelogram. The height is the length from the top of the parallelogram to the base, and is perpendicular to the base. (The exception to this rule is the rectangle, a special kind of parallelogram whose height does equal the length of a side.)
To find the perimeter, add the lengths of all 4 sides. Key Terms: Base (b), Height (h), Side (s1, s2, s3, s4)Area (A) = (b x h) = bhPerimeter (P) = (s1 + s2 + s3 +s4)
