Please explain to me what is different between the the process that we use to choose the president today, and the process outlined in the Constitution.


The process we use today to select the President of the United States is considerably different than the system outline by the founders in the Constitution. With the exception of the 12th Amendment, these changes have been made by political parties by way of informal amendment.

What is the difference between the system we use today and what is outlined in the Constitution?
