Explain what is Inversion ?
Inversion is another way in which genetic recombination can occur, as seen below. In this case, the change occurs within a chromosome, rather than between two chromosomes. If a portion of a chromosome breaks off and becomes turned around, the expression of the gene is not necessarily affected, since the gene itself can still function.
However, since the positioning of genes on the chromosome are out of sequence, any subsequent recombination that may result from crossing over during synapsis at Prophase I of meiosis will probably produce chromosomes that do not have a complete set of the correct genes. Therefore any gametes produced will not have a full set of genes to contribute to the zygote.
What is genetic equilibrium? The Genetic equilibrium is the result of the Hardy-Weinberg law, a principle that affirms that under specific conditions the frequencies of the all
