Explain the Vasomotor center - Feature of Medulla

The vasomotor center is found in medulla. It controls diameter of the blood vessels especially the ones which have smooth muscle fibers in their walls. The impulse reaches the blood vessel through autonomic nervous system. Stimulation may either cause constriction or dilatation, depending on the site. It also controls vasomotor responses linked with body temperature, emotions, excitement, fall in blood pressure etc.
