Types of jurisdictions in a state

Domestically, there are two types of jurisdictions in a state namely the civil jurisdiction and the criminal jurisdiction. The former relates to the civil matters between individuals and resolving their disputes e.g. Dowry and Bride Restriction Act 1998 and Qanoon e Shahadat, on the other hand, criminal jurisdiction  is  regarding the criminal matters
