Explain the Types of cell Reproduction ?
One of the major characteristics of living organisms is their ability to grow and reproduce. This is accomplished by cell division. In most types of cell division, each cell gives rise to two identical copies.
There are two types of cellular reproduction, asexual, and sexual. Asexual reproduction is cell replication without a change in genetic content, and occurs through binary fission or mitosis. Sexual reproduction takes place through meiosis, which produces daughter nuclei with only half of the genetic information contained in the original cell.
