Explain the term - Instruction execution

We  know  that  the  fundamental  function  performed  by  a  computer  is  the  execution  of  program. The program that is to be executed is a group of instructions, which are stored in memory. The central processing unit (CPU) executes instructions of the program to complete a task. The instruction execution takes place in CPU registers.
