Dimensionality of Interconnection Network

Dimensionality refers the arrangement of processing elements or nodes in an interconnection network. In linear network or single dimensional network, nodes are associated in a linear fashion; in two dimensional network the processing elements (PE's) are orderly arranged in a grid whereas in cube network they are arranged in the form of three dimensional network.
