Explain the statement water has bent geometry, Chemistry

Assignment Help:

Explain the statement "Water has bent geometry"

Water has bent geometry; that is, the H-O-H bond angle is approximately tetrahedral. Repulsion among the lone pairs and the bonds decreases this bond angle somewhat. (The actual bond angle is 104.5°.)
