Explain the Sequential Circuits?

The Logic circuits whose outputs, at any instant of time, depends not merely the present input but as well the past output called sequential circuits.

  1. The Sequential circuits are two kinds: Synchronous and Asynchronous.
  2. In the asynchronous circuits one event can occur after one event is compiled and no need of waiting clock pulses.
  3. The Synchronized circuits are circuits which produce output only when input coincides with arrival of clock pulses.
  4. The Synchronization is obtained by a timing device called master clock generator which generates a periodic clock.
  5. The clock signal is usually some form of square wave is given below.
