Explain the process of Writing in Oral Presentation Skills

1. Brainstorm the topic
  -  write down everything that comes to mind ( about the topic).
  -  can be quotes, ideas, facts etc.

2. Get hard information

- do your research.
-  find ways to get the audience interested - interesting statistics, unusual facts.

3. Write a draft

- let the ideas float in your head - the clearer they become - the easier to write down.
- organize ideas into clear and logical outline

  4. Should contain :  -n

(i)  introduction

- greetings, thank important people.

- headline - catchy and grabs attention.

Strategies to use in introduction

  1.     Pose a questionn
  2.     Relate a short storyn
  3.     Present an interesting factn



(ii) body /  discussion

-  develop arguments

-  convince audience your conviction

-  provide info, state facts, elaborate  with examples.


    Add personal interest by including your own or other people's experiences.n
    Acknowledge a typical listener's span by having no more than 3 or 4 main ideasn

(iii)   Conclusion

-  sum up - repeat important points but use different words and illustrations.

-  short and to the point

    Use signalling words :n
(i) Firstly / secondly - adding to your main points
(ii) ' to expand on this' - to elaborate on to go into details
(iii) on the other hand / on the contrary'- to give an opposing idea / point.
(iv) In conclusion - to end / summarize.
