The presence of such a condition has to be surgically corrected title is difference of opinion about the timing and definitive procedure to be carried out. When symptoms and cyanosis are severe systemic pulmonary artery shunt is indicated. The alternate approach is a Le Comple procedure. Le Compte called this operation REV procedure (Reparation la etage Ventricular). It is not very clear as to the youngest age at which Le complete procedure can be done. When the baby is around six months of age it is a fairly safe operation. In a child of three to five years with this problem Rastelli operation is the procedure of choice. In this operation an external right ventricular pulmonary artery conduit is used. The disadvantage is that the child outgrows the homograft conduit and would need re-operation.
