Transposition of the Great Arteries with VSD and Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction:

When the baby is around six months of age it is a fairly safe operation. In a child of three to five years with this problem Rastelli operation is the procedure of choice. In this operation an external right ventricular pulmonary artery conduit is used. The disadvantage is that the child outgrows the homograft conduit and would need re-operation.
