Explain the procedure of finding Miller indices.
Procedure of finding Miller indices:
a. The intercepts of the needed plane onto the three coordinate axes has to be founded.
b. These intercepts has to be expressed by multiples of the unit cell dimensions or lattice parameters that is (p q r).
c. The ratio of reciprocals of such numbers has to be acquired (1/p 1/q 1/r).
d. The reciprocals have to be converted in whole numbers through multiplying each along with their L.C.M. to find the smallest whole number.
e. This provides the Miller indices (h k l) of the plane.
