Periodontal consideration would include:

Hard Calculus Build up:  Any index assessing the amount of calculus build up can be used . Scaling should be initiated to remove all traces of calculus as it act as nidus for plaque accumulation.

Periodontal Findings: Following periodontal parameters should be assessed  for understanding the periodontal status of the patient

 Pockets

 Furcations

 Mucogingival problems

 Endo perio involvements

 Open embrasures

 Recession
