Explain the Inter Personal Relationship - Communication?

You know your neighbour is worried about losing his job because his company has announced retrenchments. You want to let him know that you are open to talking with him about his worries.

You want to make it comfortable for others to disclose private feelings, to open lines of communication. This is only possible when there is a climate of openness and trust between people.

In interactions in some situations, we feel tense and guarded. In other interactions, we feel comfortable, at ease and open.
