The overall goal of BCC programs for diabetes mellitus is to promote behaviors that control diabetes mellitus and prevent complications.

These include:

  • Following treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
  • Regular blood and urine test.
  • Regular follow up with the doctor if any complication arises.
  • Modifying life style and accept changes in life.
  • Support from the family and friends.
  • Increased demand for services for diabetic patient
