Personal attitudes can have a key bearing on how individuals function within organisations. Attitude formation is a reflection of personality, and is the result of the reaction of the individual's personality to external events.

(a) Identify and explain the components of an attitude and explain the role of each element. Illustrate your answer using examples.

(b) Explain, using concrete examples, the sources of attitude formation and their influence on the behaviour of individuals in the workplace.
