Explain the Complement System
To remove a microorganism by phagocytosis requires phagocytes at the right place in the right time. The organism should adhere to the phagocyte. Many of these organisms may not be viable to this type of a situation. To deal with such a situation, therefore, one more non-specific defence mechanism is found in plasma.
