Explain the Common Tests during Pregnancy

Pregnancy, as you may have realized, is a period of physiological stress. To ensure a successful pregnancy, few common tests are recommended. The following are some of the more common tests carried out during pregnancy:

  • Alpha-fetoprotein screening (multiple marker screening)
  • Amniocentesis
  • Chorionic villus sampling
  • Foetal monitoring
  • Glucose tolerance test
  • Group b strep culture
  • Genetic screening
  • Ultra Sound
