Explain the basic concept of sonar.
Basic concept of SONAR:
Sonar is based ontpo the echo-sounding technique of ultrasound. While an ultrasonic wave is transmitted by water, this is reflected through the objects into the water and will generate an echo signal. By considering the time interval among the generation of the ultrasonic pulse and the reception of the echo signal (t), the depth of the object can be simply computed. As the ultrasonic velocity “v’ into sea water is termed, the depth of sea is computed as given below:
Depth of sea (distance in between surface and bottom of the sea) = vt/2
Similar procedure is also used to determine the distance of submarine or iceberg through the surface of the sea and the distance in between two ships into the sea.
Reflection law For a wavefront intersecting reflecting surface, the angle of incidence is equivalent to the angle of reflection, in the similar plane described by the ray of i
Explain the Photoelectric Effect Atomic Models Heinrich Hertz first observed the photoelectric effect in 1887. He noticed that if a photon with enough energy is absorbed by an
I need help solving an equation or two to find the elastic potential energy of a spring when compressed. Spring starts at .75 m, and is compressed to .25 m by a force of 12 newtons
Q. What is dual character of light? Light behaves as particles of energy in the higher energy region as well as as waves in the lower energy region.
When an orchestra is tuning up, the first violinist plays a note at 256 Hz. a. What is the wavelength of that sound wave if the speed of sound in the concert hall is 340 m/s?
what difference between these two laws
Is a sewing needle magnetic or non magnetic? Answer:- When you purchase it in the store it isn't magnetized but if you rub it with a magnet it becomes magnetic.
Potential difference: When charges move from one point to another, it is not the actual values of potential at those points which are Important, but the potential different (pd
What are the General Properties of Magnet
The force is in Newton The buoyant (upward) force exerted by water on a submerged object is given by the formula F= ?Vg, where ? is the density of water (1.0 x 10 3 kg/m 3 ),
