Explain the Atmospheric Dispersion Modeling
1. Dispersion model is a mathematical description of the meteorological transport and dispersion process that is quantified in terms of source and meteorological parameters during a particular period of time. The result is an estimate of concentrations of particular pollutant at specific locations and times.
2. Factors affecting the transport, dilution and dispersion of air pollutants are grouped in terms of (i) emission point characteristics, (ii) nature of the pollutant, (iii) meteorological conditions and (iv) effects of terrain and anthropogenic structures.
