Advantages of Insulin Pen

- More convenient and easier to transport than traditional vial and syringe.

- More accurate doses.

- Easier to use for those with visual or fine motor skills impairments.

- Less injection pain.

- Can be used without being noticed.

Disadvantages

- Unlike the traditional syringe, pens are usually restricted to full or half unit dose.

- Not able to mix two different insulins in the same pen.
