Explain Technical factors influencing food production?
Improvement in technology has a significant impact on productivity. Improvements may occur in seed production, fertilizer production, food processing, transportation etc. Agricultural research is an expensive investment. So only few farmers have the resources to carry out research. Advances in biotechnology have been more popular in land-scarce societies and advance in mechanization have dominated the land-rich societies, In our discussion above, we have seen how environmental and technical factors contribute to food production. We can collect various data on food production and do the analysis of the data. It can be related to capital, labour or prices. The analysis of data can help us predict information related to supply and prices etc. Let us now consider the second issue of food production- analysis of food production.
