Explain Syndrome X as a Effect of Obesity?

People with intra-abdominal obesity with high waist- to- hip ratio are more prone to develop the metabolic syndrome X. This is characterized by the collective presence of chronic disorders that include glucose intolerance, basulin resistance, hyperlipidaemia and hypertension. The syndrome X is one of the major public health problems associated with obesity.
