(1)To identify and find solutions to the problems:

Research is essential to understand the problem in depth. For instance: >

  • Why is that demand for a product is falling?
  • Why is there a business fluctuation once in three years?

By identifying the problem as above; it's easy to collect the relevant data to solve problem.

(2) To help making decision:

Research is helpful for making the decision. For instance: Would we maintain the advertising budget same as last year? Research shall answer this question.

(3) To find alternative strategies:

Research is helpful to find substitute strategies. For instance: Would we follow push strategy or pull strategy to promote the product.

(4) To develop new concepts.
