Explain process scheduling in multiprogramming
Multiprogramming is able to be defined as a set of following features:
1. A mix of CPU bound and IO bound processes live in the system
2. An IO bound process has superior priority that a CPU bound process
3. Process priorities are static and do not change with time
4. Process scheduling is preventative a low priority running process is preempted if a higher priority process becomes ready
The following figure exemplify the process state transitions in multiprogramming
Demand paging With demand paging, a page is called into memory only when a location on that page is actually indexed during run time. With pre-paging, pages other than the one

What are the necessary conditions for deadlocks? 1. Mutual exclusion : Only one process at a time is able to use the resource. 2. Hold and wait : A process should be holdi
