Assignment Help:

Explain Procambium in primary growth in shoot?

The vascular tissue in the shoot is produced from a primary tissue called the procambium, located in the apical meristem. New vascular cells result from meristematic cells that form bundles or strands arranged in a cylindrical pattern (viewed in cross section across the shoot) in dicots. In monocots, the bundles of vascular tissue are scattered in their arrangement throughout the ground tissue (parenchyma).
