Dietitians are in a 'helping' profession because the services they provide are beneficial to individuals and society and dedicated to improving the nutritional status of the people. Helping professions can be described as professionals that do something with knowledge e.g., communicating, interpreting and applying nutritional science to benefit the health of people.
