Explain Noise
Noise is unwanted signals which degrade the desired signal content and therefore the performance of the system. Noise might be produced either externally or internally to the system. External noise contains atmospheric interference, man-made interference, lightning, etc. Internal noises are produced by the components and devices used in the system.
Q. A coil is formed by connecting 15 conducting loops, or turns, in series. Each loop has length l = 2.5 m and width w = 10 cm. The 15-turn coil is rotated at a constant speed of 3
A 10-kHz tone is used to frequency modulate a carrier; the peak deviation is 75 kHz. Use Carson''s rule to estimate the bandwidth.
Design a low noise amplifier using an Infineon RF transistor BFP640. The amplifier is to be used to amplify the L2 GPS signal and so the centre frequency is 1227MHz and bandwidth 4
Q. Evaluate complex power in power system? The complex power ¯S in a single-phase systemis the complex sum of the real (P) and reactive (Q) power, expressed as follows:
Explain dipolar polarization. Dipolar polarization is a polarization which is particular to polar molecules. Such polarization results from permanent dipoles that retain po
Q. Principle of Three-phase synchronous machines? In fact, with very few exceptions, three-phase synchronous machines are most commonly used for power generation. In general, t
Q. Effect of feedback on sensitivity to parameter changes? A good control system, in general, should be rather insensitive to parameter variations, while it is still able to fo
Q. How can a JFET be used as a constant current source? Explain from the drain characteristics. As the VDS voltage is increased from 0 to a few volts, the current will increase
Q. A silicon BJT has an emitter current of 5m Aat 300 K when the BEJ is forward-biased by vBE = 0.7 V. Find the reverse saturation current of the BEJ. Neglecting ICBO, calculate iC
Q. A current i(t) = 20 cos(2π × 60)t A fows through a wire. Find the charge flowing, and the number of electrons per second that are passing some point in the wire.
