When two molecules approach each other, the charges in each are disturbed and redistributed in a fashion that the average distance among the unlike charges in the two molecules is a little smaller than that among the like charges. Thus, electrostatic attraction wins over the repulsion and gives rise to intermolecular attractive forces. Because of the fact that intermolecular forces are effective only over short distances, they are known as short range forces. Furthermore, these forces do not obey the inverse square law.
The maximum distance up to which a molecule can attract some other molecule is called as the range of the intermolecular force.
It is described by de-Broglie a moving material molecule sometimes acts as a wave and sometimes as a particle. The wave associated with moving particle is known as matter w
The Trigger In particle physics, a trigger is a system which uses easy criteria to rapidly decide that events within a particle detector to remain while only a small fraction o
Q. In the given circuit, calculate the current through the circuit and mention its direction . Let the current be I. 5I + 10 I + 5 I = 10 + 20 that is 20 I = 30 Current I =
Q. What are the conditions to achieve the laser action? Conditions to achieve laser action (i) There should be an inverted population that is more atoms in the excited
Watt; W (after J. Watt, 1736-1819): The derived SI unit of power, explained as a power of 1 J acting onto a period of 1 s; thus it has units of J/s.
Derive a mathematical expression for the period of oscillation of a bar magnet in vibration magnetometer. How do you differentiate Dia, Para and Ferromagnetisms in matter.
There are several conditions for formation of cat ions ? Low Ionisational potential ? Lesser Charge ? More atomic size of atoms forms cations easily ? Ions having Inert
Electrical work: Electrical work is done if a quantity of charge (coulombs) is moved between two points which are at different electrical potentials. The SI unit of work
Advantages of A.C. transmission of power 1. The power can be produced at high voltages. 2. The maintenance of a.c. sub-stations is simple and cheaper. 3. The a.c. voltage
