Database Administrator is being with responsibility of controlling and protective the data. The DBA must coordinate design of database, guide development and implementation of data security procedures, protect integrity of data values and make sure system performance is satisfactory.

In the small organization, one person carries out all these responsibilities. Often, these functions are assigned to group of people. This is mainly likely in large organization where DBA responsibilities are separated among several people managed by chief administrator.
