Assignment Help:

Explain Fluids

Fluids: Fluid diets are given to patients with more advanced dysphasia or fractured jaws. The diet may include fruit juices, thin strained porridge with milk, egg in milk, strained soups, thin milk pudding, ice-cream or yoghurt. Also, whole protein polymeric liquid feeds can be given. Since such diets lack bulk and can cause colonic dysfunction, these are available with fibre supplements.
