Working:
Parallel rays from an object converged by the eye lens and brought to focus on retina. The retina is supplied by a thousands of sensitive nerve fibers which join together and form the optic nerve.
These fiber conduct electrical signal to the brain by the optic nerve. The image formed on the retina is inverted but the brain receives it in erect position.
