Explain Equivalent Fractions ?

Two fractions can look different and still be equal.

Different fractions that represent the same amount are called equivalent fractions.

Are 7/8 and 21/24 equivalent fractions?

Fractions are equivalent if their simplest forms are the same.

7/8 is already in simplest form.

21/24 = 21/3/ 24/3 = 7/8.

Yes,21/24 and 7/8 are equivalent.
