There are three types of measurements that can be taken using the English System: length, distance, weight, and capacity.

Length and distance is measured in inches, feet, yards, and miles. The following is a table showing different measurements of length and distance:

The inch (in) is the base value.
1 foot (ft) = 12 in
1 yard (yd) = 3 ft = 36 in
1 Mile (mi) = 1,760 yd = 5,280 ft = 63,360 in

Weight is measured in ounces, pounds, and tons. The following is a table showing different measurements of weight:
The ounce (oz) is the base value.
1 pound (lb) = 16 oz
1 ton = 2,000 lb = 32,000 oz

Capacity is measured in teaspoons, tablespoons, fluid ounces, cups, pints, quarts, and gallons. The following is a table showing different measurements of capacity:

The tablespoon (Tbsp) is the base value.
1 tablespoon (Tbsp) = 3 teaspoons (tsp)
1 fluid ounce (fl oz) = 2 Tbsp
1 cup (c) = 8 fl oz = 16 Tbsp
1 Pint (pt) = 2 c = 16 fl oz = 32 Tbsp
1 quart (qt) = 2 pt = 4 c = 32 fl oz = 64 Tbsp
1 gallon (gal) = 4 qt = 8 pt = 16 c = 128 fl oz = 256 Tbsp
