Explain Division of Work (or Labour).

It is a famous principle of Economics, invented through  Adam Smith  who was the traditional economist. Fayol had advocated Division of work to get advantage of specialization that results in improved human efficiency. The structure of organisation must therefore divide and group the activities of the enterprise in order that they contribute most effectively and powerfully to enterprise things. Division of work give the meaning of dividing the work on the principle that various workers (and various places) are fine fitted for different things or jobs depending on influences arising by geography, personal aptitude, natural conditions and skills. It leads to specialization. Idea of division of work can be applied to all types of work - managerial and technical.
