Disk Cartridges: Removable disk cartridges are an option to hard disk units as a form of secondary storage. Cartridge generally comprises one or two platters covered in a hard plastic case which is inserted in the disk drive much like a music tape cassette. Capacity of these cartridges varies from 5MB to more than 60MB to some extent lower than hard disk units however still considerably superior to diskettes.
