Explain Constant voltage system
Constant voltage system: In this process voltage is kept constant but results in very huge charging current in the starting when the back emf of the cells is low and a small current when their back emf enhances on being charged. With this method, time of charging is almost decreased to half. It enhances the capacity by approximately 20% but decreases the efficiency by 10% or so.
