Explain Common Control.

Common Control: Those systems wherein the control subsystem is outside the switching network are termed as common control switching system. Therefore, Strowger exchanges are generally direct control systems, while crossbar and electronic exchanges are common control system. Each stored program control system is common control system. Also common control is termed as register control or indirect control.
