Explain Antibodies
Antibodies (also referred to as immunoglobulins and garnmaglobulins) are produced by plasma cells. They are Y-shaped proteins that each respond to a specific antigen. What is an antigen? It stimulates the immune system to produce protective chemicals or special cells to destroy the antigens. These protective chemicals are called antibodies.
