Explain all types of worker's participation.

Types of Worker's Participation - Worker's participation in management may take several forms, for example:  

(a) Formal participation - has some plan for labour management cooperation.

 (i) Ascending participation - whether elected representative of workers participate in management decisions at higher levels.

(ii) Descending participation - whether workers participate in deciding and planning their own work in shop floor.

(b) Informal participation - This is more typically at the work group level, as the foreman develops the opportunities for the group of workers to take part in decision making process or a problem solving.
