Explain about the E-R Diagram

Entity-relationship (E-R) diagram is detailed logical representation of data for an organisation. It is data oriented model of a system while DFD is a process oriented model. ER diagram represent data at rest whereas DFD tracks the motion of data.

ERD doesn't provide any information regarding functionality of data. It has 3 main components - data entities, their relationships and their associated attributes.
