Explain about Stacking faults

Stacking faults happen in a number of crystal structures, but the common example is in close-packed structures.  Face-centered cubic (fcc) structures vary from hexagonal close packed (hcp) structures only in stacking order: both structures have close packed atomic planes with six fold symmetry -- the atoms includes equilateral triangles.
